Vincent Leonti
VINCENT LIONTI, viola, has been a member of the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra since 1987. Born in Bethesda, Maryland, he began violin and viola studies with his father and was a student of William Lincer, at the Juilliard School, where he graduated with Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in 1982. Mr. Lionti was a member of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra from 1983-87, and has been guest Principal Viola for the Indianapolis, New Jersey, and American Symphony Orchestras, as well as the Santa Fe Opera Orchestra. Mr. Lionti resides in New York City with his wife Kristin and their son Nicholas.
